What we do

Java Solo Communications is a public relations, media management, crisis communications and advocacy company. Fancy terms aside, what we really do is empower you to tell your story on your terms, in ways that cut through the clutter, move hearts and change minds. We help businesses introduce themselves to customers and the community in ways that make them indispensable. We work with schools to highlight amazing educational and extracurricular programs that propel students to success. We spotlight workhorse organizations that improve lives and open doors of opportunity to people, from health care advocates to parents’ groups. Everyone has a great story. Let us help you tell it.

Azlan Ibrahim, Founder

Before starting Java Solo Communications in 2019, Azlan Ibrahim worked as a journalist and editor covering community news and national issues and international affairs. After a decade in journalism, Az jumped into political speechwriting and advocacy communications. He has spearheaded communications for Congressional, legislative and mayoral campaigns, as well as millage and ballot questions. He has been involved in messaging, communications and public relations work related to defending democracy, reforming international nuclear security agreements, advocating for health care policy at the state and federal levels, and more. Az has also managed corporate communications for a large health system, spearheading regional, marketing and community relations initiatives. He helped launch a national nonprofit of physicians who now advocate for pro-patient policies in Congress and dozens of state legislatures. As a communications and public relations strategist, Az is especially drawn to projects where he can shape and share stories promoting clean energy, civil rights, pro-patient health policies, fairness in the workplace and other issues that he feels and believes empower people to live dignified lives.
